reflection

i like Man Rays work because of it's simplicity and at the same time deep approach. besides his career as a fashion and portrait photographer he makes art about his personal and emotional issues. his 'style' mostly was dadaism and surrealism which he used in photography. i think these two are very different from each other, photography objectively is supposed to tell reality but his approach to it changes the whole concept which later falls into the aspect of surrealism. i am deeply interested in surrealism, because i think that something that is not logical, reasonable and not this worldly is what i want to see in my art. to tell the truth with something that is not real.
